Easily one of the greatest movie musicals of all-time, Grease brought a level of coolness to musicals that was missing and revolutionized the way people looked at them.

After a summer fling, Australian good girl Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) ends up staying in America and attends the same high school as her summer boyfriend Danny (John Travolta).

Watching Grease now, there are many things wrong with it. First, almost every high school character is in their late 20s or early 30s. Second, the fact that Sandy has to change herself in order to be accepted by Danny and his friends is very anti-feminist.

However, the music is absolutely incredible, the acting is top notch and almost every moment of the film is fun. You’d be crazy not to love this.

Final say: Grease is – and will always be – the word. ★★★★★
