College students around the United States are about to graduate college and now is the perfect time to read this novel from Facebook’s chief operating officer.
With much of the focus being on author Sheryl Sandberg’s journey into the top tiers of workforce, she is honest about the struggles it takes for women to make it to the top. She talks about how being an ambitious woman is seen by dominantly male leadership.
In this updated edition from the original 2013 book, Sandberg pleads to graduates to find work they love and stick to it. The advice needs to be heard by this new generation that’s having a harder time finding positions.
While Sandberg’s words are interesting, the six chapters by other authors are perhaps the most inspiring to graduates.
Final say: Lean in to life. ★★★☆☆
