Completely underrated by fans of the Star Wars series, Solo is an incredible adventure that breathes fresh air.
A young Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) and his lover Qi’ra (Emilia Clarke) attempt to make a break from the planet Corellia. While Han is the only one to get out, he vows to come back for Qi’ra someday. He joins a group of criminals led by Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) as they work for crime boss Dryden Vos (Paul Bettany).
This film is arguably the best of the recent Star Wars releases. While there aren’t lightsabers and the Force isn’t mentioned, there is just as much action.
Ehrenreich is splendid in the title role taking over for Harrison Ford. He’s charismatic and funny bringing the same sarcasm we know and love from the character.
Final say: Excitement for the whole family. ★★★★☆
