The original live-action adaptation of the Stephen King horror novel was released as a two-part miniseries on ABC almost twenty years ago.
The seven members of the Losers Club are tormented as children by an evil shape shifter they call It. It most often takes the form of a circus clown named Pennywise (Tim Curry). Twenty-seven years after they originally beat It, It comes back to haunt them once again.
While both versions of the losers are intriguing to watch, the younger ones are more entertaining to watch. Their fears are relatable to all children.
Curry terrorizes as Pennywise. In one of his most iconic roles, you feel chills from the moment he comes onto the screen and every time you hear his voice thereafter.
Final say: Not as scary as the new iteration, but eerie anyway. ★★★☆☆
