It’s not fun when this classic childhood game becomes deadly.
When a group of friends goes on a trip to Mexico, they play what they think is an innocent game of truth or dare with a stranger. When they return home, they realize that the game is cursed and if they don’t complete the tasks the evil force gives them, they’ll die.
Any scare factor that the trailer shows there is dies right away. Despite having a solid cast of pretty established young actors, the writing is subpar and makes the acting seem over the top with a lot of angst.
The one character you’re rooting for the whole time – Brad Chang (Hayden Szeto) – gets the worst deal, making his coming out to his father part of the game.
Final say: The worst dare is being made to see this. ★☆☆☆☆
