Supergirl soars back onto the air with new life and a better storyline with its network move.

With Cat Grant’s (Calista Flockhart) exit from CatCo, Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) is ready to figure out exactly what she wants to do in the journalism world. At the same time, she continues to work at DEO to protect the citizens of National City. Her world is rocked as she encounters both her cousin Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Daxamite Mon-El (Chris Wood).

This show never felt right in the CBS line-up, but has been allowed to explore different plot lines at the CW that it hadn’t been able to before. Among the best is Alex Danvers’ (Chyler Leigh) sexuality.

Like its DC Comics counterparts, season two has larger arcs that create intense drama.

Final say: Better than the first season. ★★★☆☆
