A legendary monster comes back to the big screen for a new generation of viewers.
When two massive unidentified terrestrial objects (MUTOs) start attacking San Francisco, Godzilla arrives to take them down. However, terrified of what is happening, humans do everything they can to lure the monsters away and save their city.
The interesting thing about this film is that Godzilla does not attempt to harm any humans. Its focus is to take down the MUTOs and end their wreak of havoc. It, of course, causes mayhem as it tries to take down the MUTOs, but its only interactions with humans are what the humans do to attack it.
Unfortunately, the film runs slow and does not quite keep your attention. The CGI on Godzilla is great, but the MUTOs look too robotic.
Final say: Hardly the king of monsters. ★★☆☆☆
