Sometimes it takes losing someone to figure out who you really are.

Quinten “Q” Jacobsen has always been in love with his next door neighbor Margo Roth Spiegelman. The two have an adventure one night after several years of little interaction. Just when Q thinks he’ll get the girl, she disappears. Now, Q and his friends go on a search for her.

If you’re looking for a love story, you won’t quite get it here. Poor Q longs for Margo, but she doesn’t seem to hold the same affections for him. His dedication to her at times gets annoying and makes you think about how he’s affecting others.

However, the road trip he and his friends go on is fantastic. It’s the perfect end of high school trip for friends.

Final say: This coming-of-age novel has some growing to do. ★★☆☆☆
