A follow-up to the science fiction phenomenon Jurassic Park, this sequel will have you questioning if it was needed, while still remaining intense.
Ian Malcom – surprisingly – has survived the events of the first novel and is now reluctantly joining an expedition to an island where John Hammond tested growing dinosaurs and has let some run free there. A rival company also arrives to the island eager to steal information.
While some dinosaurs return from the first novel, the reader will get to experience more dinosaurs here. Velociraptors continue their deadly reign, while there are triple the Tyrannosaurus Rexes.
There is still a nice balance of anxious moments with dinosaur attacks, while also having scientific explanations of everything. However, it lacks the spirit of the first.
Final say: You can skip this and just reread the brilliance of the first novel. ★★☆☆☆
