Black Mirror’s second season comes back as strong and cringeworthy as before.
This season deals with the loss of spouses and the wish of having them back, losing children, an animated character running for office and two strangers stuck together on Christmas.
The first two episodes of the season are two of the best in the entire series. Hayley Atwell and Domhnall Gleeson give devastating performances, while Lenora Crichlow is haunting. Crichlow’s episode has one of the strongest third-act twists that will leave you mind blown.
However, while “The Waldo Moment” is definitely the weakest, the 2016 Presidential race might change the way you view it. It seemed crazy that people would support an animated character for office, but we’ve now seen that strange things can happen.
Final say: The future is scary in this show. ★★★★★
