For years, Lauren Graham has been one of America’s favorite TV moms between playing Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls and Sarah Braverman on Parenthood. In the same spirit, reading this book feels like catching up with an old friend.
Graham is hilarious throughout and never takes herself too seriously. She jokes about the past and makes fun of her early Gilmore Girls styles.
She takes us through all seven seasons of the show and gives the good and bad. You’ll find that she dislikes the same things we do – like her fights with Rory. And then she takes us through the revival and how the loss of patriarch Edward Hermann affected her and the cast.
Talking about her rise to fame, Graham is a down-to-earth figure who didn’t have things handed to her.
Final say: An easily readable joy. ★★★★☆
