If you’re looking for a multi-decade family drama, then look no further.
In 2011, Samuel Andresen-Anderson gets the news that his mother – whom left him as a child – has assaulted a political figure and is now being put on trial. Her lawyer needs him to testify in her honor. With no knowledge of her past or present, Daniel goes on his own journey to discover her secrets and what led her to this moment.
There are so many layers to this story. Through ten parts, the third person narration switches from present day to over 40 years in the past and many in between. Some are faster paced and more entertaining than others, but all help develop the complex story at hand.
Final say: Draining at times, but the result is worth it. ★★★★☆
