One of the newest Christmas classics, Love Actually shares messages of love that the world needs more than ever.
The film follows ten different plotlines that intertwine with each other in London. Some include familial love, some work romances and even an under-10 years old love affair. But, don’t let the Christmas theme fool you. As much love is spread throughout this film, there’s also a fair amount of heartbreak.
The cast is absolutely phenomenal and features some of the biggest names in the industry, including several Oscar nominees and winners. While there’s a lot of Brits in the film, Sarah (American actress Laura Linney) and Carl (Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro) will be one of the most heart-wrenching storylines. But, comedy also triumphs, especially in David (Hugh Grant) and Natalie’s (Martine McCutcheon) bit.
Final say: Pure magic. ★★★★★
