 This special brings back everything that’s great about the Shrek films for a holiday-themed tale.

Shrek (Mike Myers) feels pressured to make Christmas extra special because it’s the first with his family. He’s also never celebrated before, so he doesn’t know how to do it. He gets overwhelmed by how much everyone else is in to it and cracks under pressure.

All of your favorite characters return and you’ll get to hear fun Christmas stories from Donkey (Eddie Murphy), Puss (Antonio Banderas) and Gingy (Conrad Vernon). Gingy, as a cookie, has the funniest story as he sees Santa Claus as a monster.

By the end, you’ll realize – as Shrek does – that family and love is the most important thing about Christmas.

Final say: Probably the best Christmas special from recently animated franchises. ★★★★☆
