Made for past, present and future generations of theater kids, Theater Camp is hilarious and heartwarming as it reminds you of the place where you knew you’d belong.

When camp owner Joan (Amy Sedaris) falls into a coma, her influencer son Troy (Jimmy Tatro) is sent to run the camp. Former-campers and now-teachers Rebecca-Diane (Molly Gordon) and Amos (Ben Platt) write an original musical about their fallen leader.

The characters lean so hard into their stereotypes that it makes them real. And each of the actors fully dive into their crazy roles. Noah Galvin is perhaps the best as the techie who realizes his star potential.

What’s best though is seeing the kids be celebrated for their quirks. Theater has long been a safe haven for the misunderstood and seeing them thrive is so special.
