By having established characters and upping the stakes, Sing 2 steps up the game from its predecessor and makes for amazing family fun.

Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) takes the stars of his local show to Redshore City – think Las Vegas – where they audition for ruthless media owner Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale). When Buster promises to get recluse rocker Clay Calloway (Bono) out of retirement, Jimmy green lights their show.

The beloved characters from the first film all are developed well while also introducing new, fully realized characters – the best of which are Halsey’s spoiled nepo baby Porsha and Bono’s heartbroken Clay.

Full of amazing musical numbers, Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” opens the film Alice in Wonderland-style with most of the cast and an emotional “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” closes it out.
