A continuation of Kill Bill, Vol. 1, the second part of this series has less violence and dives deeper into its femme fatale.
The Bride (Uma Thurman) continues to take revenge on those who ruined her wedding. She must first encounter Budd (Michael Madsen) and Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah) before she takes on her former lover Bill (David Carradine).
Thurman continues to shine in the lead role with both emotional depth and fantastic action skills. The films lets us dive deeper into The Bride’s past, which helps the audience better understand her journey.
In true Quentin Tarantino style, the film is masterful in its shots and varying styles of filming. This is best shown during The Bride’s training with Pai Mei (Gordon Liu), which feels like a return to martial arts films of previous eras.
Final say: She kills. ★★★★☆
