Boo, Bitch is cringe comedy, but its storyline veers more into the cringe than it does comedy as the season continues.
Erika (Lana Condor) and her best friend Gia (Zoe Colletti) are trying to make a name for themselves before graduation. They attend a party where they get close to their crushes Jake C. (Mason Versaw) and Jake W. (Conor Husting). The next morning, they retrace their steps and find Erika dead beneath a moose.
While seeing Erika reacting to finding her dead body is initially funny, watching her transform into an awful person that’s the complete opposite of her persona makes the character nearly unwatchable. Her disregard of Gia is frankly heartbreaking.
The show falls hard into trying to recreate the iconic comedy of Mean Girls and Booksmart and ends up doing neither justice.
Final say: Dead on arrival. ★★☆☆☆
