In the final moment of Girls’ third season, Hannah (Lena Dunham) is proud of herself and you don’t know whether to be happy for her or just disgusted. And that seems to be the entire feeling of the season.

Hannah loses her book deal and begins writing for GQ. Marnie (Allison Williams) begins to work on her music while she repairs her friendship with Hannah. Jessa (Jemima Kirke) leaves rehab early. Shoshana (Zosia Mamet) is in her last semester of college. And Adam (Adam Driver) gets a role in a Broadway play.

Adam and Shoshana continue to prove they’re the best characters on the show. They’re uninhibited and speak their mind, while also having a lot of growth from previous seasons. Marnie and Hannah are difficult to watch and they’re completely toxic.

Final say: These girls need to grow up. ★★★☆☆
