A fun murder mystery film that feels Agatha Christie-esque and centers around Christie’s The Mousetrap, See How They Run will make you laugh as you try to figure out the whodunnit.

After The Mousetrap’s 100^th performance in London, the American director hired to direct a film of the play, Leo Köpernick (Adrien Brody), is murdered. The police shut down the show as Inspector Stoppard (Sam Rockwell) and Constable Stalker (Saoirse Ronan) investigate the case.

Rockwell and Ronan are a phenomenal comedic duo. Ronan brings the charm and naivety as Rockwell play’s his usual worn out and drunk role. They’re backed by a talented ensemble, which features Shirley Henderson as a reclusive Christie.

If you pay attention, many clues are given throughout. And if you miss them, it’s great to give this a second viewing.

Final say: A thrilling throwback. ★★★★☆
