Dash & Lily is everything you could want in a holiday rom-com, and the best part is that it’s a series, which allows for extra cheer and romance.
Lily (Midori Francis) leaves a notebook in the Strand hoping for the right person to find it and take her up on her adventure. When Dash (Austin Abrams) finds the book, he forgoes his usual cynicism to take part in what becomes an epic holiday pen pal romance.
Francis is a star and will immediately charm you with her endearing Lily. Her scenes and chemistry with Troy Iwata (playing Lily’s brother Langston) are brilliant. You end up cheering for Langston as much as Lily because of her.
The cinematography shows the best parts of New York City at Christmas, making a magical winter wonderland.
Final say: Your heart will grow three sizes. ★★★★★
