Tensions are high in season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars as several queens with history reunite to vie for the crown.
Season five of Drag Race has the most alums here with the criticized clique of Alaska, Detox and Roxxxy Andrews (Rolaskatox) being reunited, as well as the ever-heated competition between Alyssa Edwards and Coco Montrese.
Many twists happen throughout the season with one queen dropping out of the competition – a franchise first – and more than one queen returning to the competition after sashaying away. Carson Kressley and Todrick Hall replace Santino Rice as main judges and while Kressley is fantastic, Hall rarely gets screentime outside of dancing challenges.
If you can handle the antics of Phi Phi O’Hara, this is a compelling season to watch.
Final say: A starrier season than the first. ★★★★★
