From the creator of Sex and the City, TV Land’s Younger is a fresh comedy with a talented cast and an entertaining, if not always believable storyline.
When newly divorced Liza (Sutton Foster) is mistaken to be in her 20s instead of her 40s, she decides to lie about her age to get back into the publishing world. She works for the ruthless Diana (Miriam Shor) and befriends editor Kelsey (Hilary Duff).
Broadway vet Foster’s quirks fit Liza well as she begins to navigate her new life of lies. Duff is a joy to watch in her first series lead since Disney Channel’s Lizzie McGuire.
Putting ageism at the forefront with a cast of strong female characters of various ages allows the show to smartly tackle issues that aren’t talked about as much.
Final say: Full of energy. ★★★★★
