One of the few remakes that makes you forget there was an original, Ocean’s Eleven features an all-star cast.
Shortly after being released from jail, Danny Ocean (George Clooney) reunites with his friend Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt). Together, they put together a team to operate a heist stealing $150 million from Las Vegas Casino owner Terry Benedict (Andy García), whom is dating Danny’s ex-wife Tess (Julia Roberts).
This film is suave, and the job is exciting. Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Carl Reiner & Elliott Gould are just some of the actors who make up the team. Except for Cheadle’s awful British accent, all involved are fun to watch.
The only flaw is Roberts. It’s not her fault though, the script just uses her as a pawn in the scheme and nothing else.
Final say: A great heist film. ★★★★☆
