A different take on the Jane Austen classic, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies follows the updated novel by Seth Grahame-Smith that has the same storyline with the addition of zombies.

The Bennet sisters are trained in the art of weaponry and martial arts to help protect their family and town from zombies taking over England. Despite circumstances, Mrs. Bennet (Sally Phillips) is still eager for her daughters to marry wealthy.

Instead of this being a romantic drama, it falls more along the lines of a horror comedy. Matt Smith is hilarious as the horribly inept Parson Collins and he has great awkward chemistry alongside his real-life love Lily James, who plays a tough, but charming Elizabeth.

While the acting is great, there’s a bit lacking in jam-packed storyline.

Final say: Not as lovely, but a fun reimagining. ★★★☆☆
