Paying tribute to many Disney films, Enchanted is an absolute delight featuring a perfect cast who will have you rolling with laughter.

Before her marriage to Prince Edward (James Marsden), Giselle (Amy Adams) is tricked and cursed into the real world. She adjusts to her new life with Robert (Patrick Dempsey) and Morgan (Rachel Covey) as Queen Narcissa (Susan Sarandon) tries to kill her.

There’s never been a more perfectly cast Disney Princess than Adams in this role. She has an incredible range of emotions that make her seem animated, while she takes on a stronger approach.

This film questions Disney tropes – Robert not understanding the fully-choreographed musical number – but pays homage to them in the perfect way. You’ll hear the legendary Julie Andrews narrating while future queen Idina Menzel plays the future stepmother.

Final say: Enchanting for every age. ★★★★★
