Writer-director Quentin Tarantino brilliantly crafts a story full of sex, drugs and crimes that will have you entranced from start to finish.
Many unrelated lives intertwine as two hitmen (John Travolta & Samuel L. Jackson) encounter two thieves (Tim Roth & Amanda Plummer) after retrieving a stolen suitcase for mob boss Marcellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) who had boxer Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) lose his fight.
The film is split into seven parts that don’t run chronologically so the story brilliantly unfolds in different ways and you continue to make connections to past parts as you watch.
Despite only being in two of the sequences, Uma Thurman makes her mark as Wallace’s wife Mia. She and Travolta have great chemistry and play well off each other. Jackson however is the most captivating character with the end sequence.
Final say: A masterpiece. ★★★★★
