The first season of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s hit show sets up wonderful storylines with characters that are enthralling and entertaining to watch.

After Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) asks her parents Richard (Edward Hermann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) for help, she is able to send her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) to a prime prep school. Rory struggles to fit in, especially when Lorelai begins dating a teacher (Scott Cohen).

As is the normal with a Sherman-Palladino show, the dialogue is zippy with the characters speaking so fast you have to remember to breathe for them. But the show isn’t filled with just words, there’s a heart and smarts in both the dialogues and characters that will keep you coming back for more. All the townsfolk of Stars Hollow are interesting.

Final say: Where this leads, I will follow. ★★★★★
