Still going strong in its sixth season, The Office continues to bring laughs while also taking big steps in its characters’ development.
After years of creating an incredible relationship, Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) finally get married and begin their forever. Dunder Mifflin goes into bankruptcy and is bought out by the Sabre Corporation bringing new leadership in Jo Bennett (Kathy Bates).
Bates is a brilliant addition to the show. While she doesn’t join the main cast, her guest arc is brilliantly written and acted out. Due to the changes in leadership, Steve Carell’s Michael Scott gets seniority in Dunder Mifflin and hilariously embodies his new powerful role.
The ensemble cast continues to be brilliant. Their initial panic toward the bankruptcy and later adjustment to new management let’s each character shine in different ways.
Final say: Still amazing. ★★★★☆
