Chris Colfer’s fairy tale series reaches new dimensions when characters from the world’s most classic stories find their way into The Land of Stories.

With the Masked Man on the loose, twins Alex and Conner Bailey must stop him with the help of their friends. The fairies, who’ve kicked Alex off the council, don’t believe the world is in danger. Soon, the twins discover the Masked Man is using a potion to recruit villains to fight with him.

While we get to see more of the fairy tale creatures we love, this book brings us to the Land of Oz, Neverland and Wonderland. While the villains are horrid, it’s also fun to see them in a new light.

Colfer’s creativity seems to be endless and he does not disappoint in this continuation.

Final say: The best writing gets wonderfully rewritten. ★★★★☆
