Based on the title character of the Tom Clancy novels, Jack Ryan is familiar, but is taken to another level in this Amazon Prime original.
When CIA analyst Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) gains information about a case, he’s whisked from his desk job in Washington, D.C. to the action in the Middle East. Islamic terrorist Mousa Bin Sulieman (Ali Suliman) is making questionable bank transfers.
Krasinski takes over the role of Jack Ryan after Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine had previously played it on the big screen. He fills the shoes well showing a different side on television than we saw in The Office. However, he still has the same charm we’ve come to love.
The action is on-the-edge-of-your-seat intense.
Final say: With a longer runtime, the TV show is better than a movie. ★★★★★
