If you’re looking for a thrill with great production value, Baby Driver is the one for you.
Baby (Ansel Elgort) is a getaway driver for Doc (Kevin Spacey). He puts himself in danger with the law to work off his debt. And just when he thinks he’s finished, Doc pulls him in for more. Baby tries to escape with his new love, Debora (Lily James), but he has to force through obstacles in his way.
I’ve never seen a film where the editing is done so well. This was robbed of an Oscar. Music is what really drives the movies and every move and chase that Baby makes is synchronized perfectly to a song.
The cast gives incredible performances with everyone nicely balancing the anger and thrill of their characters with the comedy they bring.
Final say: Modern cinematic perfection. ★★★★★
