Book: The Last Anniversary

Like the rest of Liane Moriarty’s novels, this book combines multiple points of view for a storyline that keeps you guessing.

Sophie Honeywell is shocked when her ex-boyfriend’s Aunt Connie leaves her a house in her will. The house is the home of the Munro Baby mystery, which is a well-kept secret that brings the Gordon family an income from all the visitors. Now, Sophie finds herself trying to figure out mysteries herself.

While a gripping story, this book is hard to get into. There are so many characters in the family and they’re introduced rather quickly. It’s hard to keep in order who is who and how they are all related.

Perhaps the most interesting character is new mother Grace, who needs to escape her life.

Final say: Not the best of Moriarty’s novels, but still a good read. ★★★☆☆
