Indie actress Greta Gerwig brings her best as the writer and director of Lady Bird.
Lady Bird (Saoirse Ronan) is a typical teenage girl who fights with her mom (Laurie Metcalf), falls in love with boys and wants to be part of the cool crowd at school.
While the plot sounds simple, it is told beautifully. There is a lot of tension between Lady Bird and those around her. She often puts herself in bad situations, but you will feel so connected to her in those moments.
Ronan, Lucas Hedges and Timothée Chalamet are among the greatest actors of their generation and perfect their cringe-worthy scenes.
What makes this so special though is the bond and relationship between Lady Bird and her mother. You’ll sense the incredible dynamic between Ronan and Metcalf.
Final say: Everyone needs to see this. ★★★★★
