With impeccable anxiety-inducing drama from the start, Beef is easily one of the best shows A24 and Netflix have both released.

Contractor Danny Cho (Steven Yeun) and business owner Amy Lau (Ali Wong) get into a road rage incident that sets them off on an epic feud.

Yeun and Wong are wonderfully dynamic in their roles and have intense chemistry as they show the good and bad in their characters. Their supporting cast members – especially Joseph Lee (as Amy’s husband) and Young Mazino (as Danny’s brother) – mix in perfectly without letting the leads outshine them.

Each episode has the storyline building to wild but plausible heights. By the time the season reaches its peak and feels like it’s going off the rails, you won’t care because you’ll be fully invested.
