At a time when Disney Channel stars were at their peak vocal abilities, Disneymania 5 is a solid show of talent making songs from classic animated movies modern hits.

The track listing features stars like Miley Cyrus, The Cheetah Girls, Jonas Brothers and five High School Musical stars. While The Go-Go’s feel a bit out of place as the only elder artist, it works with their song being a throwback to the original The Parent Trap.

Ashley Tisdale’s “Kiss the Girl,” Jonas Brothers’ “I Wan’na Be Like You” and The Cheetah Girls’ “So This Is Love” are the standouts with each bringing a modern twist that brilliantly works – especially the latter’s mix of English & Spanish. However, Miley Cyrus’ “Part of Your World” and Everlife’s “Reflection” devoid the songs of their emotion.

Final say: One of the best Disneymania albums. ★★★★☆
