Bringing the beloved teddy bear to the big screen for the first time, The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is another package film for Disney (the first in almost 30 years), but much stronger than those in the past.

In the Hundred Acre Wood, Christopher Robin’s (Bruce Reitherman, Jon Walmsley & Timothy Turner) play animals live together. Winnie the Pooh (Sterling Holloway) loves his honey, while Tigger (Paul Winchell) surprises as a new resident.

The film uses the Winnie the Pooh book to connect the stories with pages and words often seen onscreen. Despite Tigger not appearing in the original novel, his story is seamlessly added in to make room the fan-favorite character.

With timeless stories and heartwarming characters, this film helped launch a franchise that makes them amongst the most recognizable animated characters of all-time.

Final say: Pure joy. ★★★★★
