Taylor Swift’s fourth re-recording (out of six total) brings 1989 back to listeners, and it’s just as much of a classic now as when it was originally released.

1989 (Taylor’s Version) features 16 tracks from the original album or its deluxe version and features five new songs from the vault. The new songs fit the vibe of her album more so than previous “from the vault” editions with multiple becoming instant hits.

The album is also a reminder of Swift’s full transition from country into pop and how the success of the original release helped shape her into the artist she is today. Songs like “Blank Space” and “Style” are iconic and it’s interesting listening to songs that you may not have previously paid enough attention to like “I Know Places.”
