Second Book in the It Ends with Us series

It’s amazing to see the growth in author Colleen Hoover’s writing between 2016’s It Ends with Us and its 2022 sequel It Starts with Us.
After running into Atlas on the street, Lily hesitantly leans into the idea of a romance with her first love. Still having to interact with Ryle as they share custody of 11-month-old Emerson, Lily walks a fine line to keep herself and her daughter safe from Ryle’s explosive outbursts.
It Ends with Us had many issues but Hoover was able to remedy those problems going into this novel. Yes, some of Lily’s journal entries from the first book appear again but now that Atlas is a co-first-person narrator, the entries are utilized to get his point of view.
You’ll tear through this novel as you cheer for the charismatic leads.
Final say: Love blooms. ★★★★☆
