Under the helm of Greta Gerwig, Barbie is an instant classic with its rich colors, amazing fashion and a deepness you might not expect.

Barbie’s (Margot Robbie) life is becoming less perfect with various problems. She visits Weird Barbie (Kate McKinnon) who tells her she must go to the human world. With Ken (Ryan Gosling) by her side, Barbie realizes the human world isn’t what she expects.

Robbie is the perfect choice to play the iconic doll, and there’s no one like her who could play her levels better. However, Gosling was born to play Ken, whom he brings to another level.

The film is full of commentary on men’s and women’s roles in society. And seeing how it’s opposite from the Barbie world to the human world allows for dramatic comparisons.
