Focusing on the corrupted politics in Uganda, Bobi Wine: The People’s President is a story of hope – even if the progress has been halted by the government.

Popular singer Bobi Wine started moving his career into politics in 2017 and was an instant favorite amongst the people. Knowing that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has overstayed his welcome and become a dictator, Wine challenges Museveni’s authority and runs against him in the 2021 Ugandan presidential election.

Museveni extorts his power by allowing the police to harm his opposers but in the many interview clips shown of him, it’s clear that he will never take responsibility.

Beatings, bombings and shootings are openly shown in graphic manners. It’s nerve-wracking seeing what the people go through as well as the camera crew trying to share this story.
