In the third – and quite possibly, final – season of Ted Lasso, you’ll find yourself entranced as you learn more about the characters and what their futures might hold.

Ted (Jason Sudeikis) fights against the low expectations of AFC Richmond in the Premier League. Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) questions her personal life, while Keeley (Juno Temple) takes a large step forward in her professional life.

With longer episodes (most run for over an hour), there is ample time to develop stories and characters. Billy Harris’ Colin gets a great storyline as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and Jamie (Phil Dunster) and Roy (Brett Goldstein) develop a strong friendship.

This show has always had heart, and this season will have you reaching for tissues often. The writers fantastically balance the comedy with the deep moments.

Final say: If this is it, well done. ★★★★☆
