Despite a strong cast, The Trouble with Bliss encounters troubles in its opening scene and never recovers.

Morris Bliss (Michael C. Hall) is 35-years-old living with his father (Peter Fonda) and jobless. He starts seeing 18-year-old student Stephanie (Brie Larson), who happens to be the daughter of his high school friend Jetski (Brad William Henke), as well as Andrea (Lucy Liu), who is married.

There is nothing likable about Morris. From the moment you find out he’s having sex with a high school student, there’s an ick factor that you won’t be able to shake. At the conclusion of his story, there’s hope but that’s really just the last five minutes.

None of the actors seem to know what to do with their characters and it’s a waste of talent.

Final say: The trouble with Bliss is that it exists. ★☆☆☆☆
