There’s something to be said for the stories that Quentin Tarantino brings to life and The Hateful Eight is no exception. However, the racism and mistreatment of women in his films can be overwhelming.

With a blizzard is passing through, John Ruth (Kurt Russell) must stop on his way to transport Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to Red Rock. They land at Minnie’s Haberdashery, where all is not what it seems.

Samuel L. Jackson is never better than when he’s starring in a Tarantino film. As usual, his character is wild and presents the actor at his best.

Unfortunately, every female character is treated terribly either being murdered quickly or heavily abused until they’re murdered. And Tarantino loves to heavily fill his scripts with the “N” word, which is uncomfortable coming from a white writer.

Final say: Entertaining enough. ★★★☆☆
