Featuring a wild story with many plot twists and a strong cast, Lucky Number Slevin is a surprising action thriller that you’ll need to watch more than once.
Slevin (Josh Hartnett) finds himself in the wrong place as a war between The Boss (Morgan Freeman) and The Rabbi (Ben Kingsley) begins to brew. Slevin gets help from Lindsey (Lucy Liu) and near-silent hitman Mr. Goodkat (Bruce Willis).
When the puzzle pieces are put together, it makes an ending that is so satisfying, you’ll have the urge to go back and see what you missed. Outside of the story, the production design and costumes are hectic, which only adds to the intensity.
While the leading men – especially Hartnett – are fantastic, Liu’s Lindsey that becomes the most exciting with her infectious personality and weird entanglement in the plot.
Final say: Lucky. ★★★★☆
