An epic real-life crime story, Killers of the Flower Moon is a labor of love from Martin Scorsese and a labor to watch with a three-and-a-half-hour runtime, but you won’t be disappointed.

After returning from war, Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) falls in love with Mollie (Lily Gladstone). Ernest’s Uncle William King Hale (Robert De Niro) is supportive of the Osage people, but secretly exploits their newfound wealth.

The intense story justifies the length of the film. You’ll notice it’s long but outstanding performances from DiCaprio, Gladstone and De Niro will keep you engrossed. The levels that Gladstone finds within Mollie make her standout against the decorated actors surrounding her.

With fantastic production value, Scorsese takes a disturbing story and makes it champion the Native American community that the white man took advantage of.

Final say: A worthy story told right. ★★★★★
