While the storyline is a bit far-fetched, especially with Brooklyn Decker’s naïve character, if you follow the film title and just go with it, you’ll likely enjoy it.
Dr. Danny Maccabee (Adam Sandler) makes a connection Palmer (Decker), but she demands an explanation when she finds a – fake – wedding ring in his pocket. Danny enlists the help of his assistant Katherine (Jennifer Aniston) to create a fake divorce.
Sandler and Aniston have such natural chemistry. You can tell they’re having a good time, which will make you do the same. However, Nicole Kidman is the scene-stealer as Katherine’s former sorority sister. Every time Kidman appears onscreen, it’s magic.
The premise is gross when you think about it but once you see Danny and Katharine connecting, you’ll know it’s going somewhere good.
Final say: Like I said, just go with it. ★★★★☆
