With stunning animation and an incredible voice cast, Rango is a callback to Westerns that will easily entertain both its children and adult audiences.

Rango (Johnny Depp) is a chameleon that wishes for a more exciting life. Beans (Isla Fisher) takes him to the town of Dirt, which has lost nearly all its water.

Though the storyline may be predictable to older audiences, the characters make for an interesting story. With it being reminiscent of old Clint Eastwood films (and the likeness of the actor making an appearance), there are certain boxes that need to be checked and luckily, they are.

Depp is fantastic as Rango, and the chameleon is unpredictable, so he keeps you on edge. George DelHoyo’s owl narrates the film and comes in at the best moments with brilliant lines.

Final say: An exciting adventure. ★★★★☆
