By upping the rating from PG-13 to R and giving the team a large reboot, The Suicide Squad is everything its predecessor failed to be.

Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) sends a new Suicide Squad team out into the field to destroy all traces of “Project Starfish.” Led by Bloodsport (Idris Elba), the new team is joined by veterans Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie).

This film is everything you want Suicide Squad to be. It’s gory, filled with expletives and wildly funny. The colors are rich, and the CGI is executed much better than in the last film.

Robbie’s comedic timing and depth continues to prove that she is the only one who can play Quinn. And Elba and John Cena are more entertaining leads than those before.

Final say: If this is death, kill me. ★★★★★
