With a great premise and a solid delivery, In Time is a futuristic take on Robin Hood that will keep you intrigued.
In 2169, people have been engineered to stop aging at 25 and use time as currency to keep living thereafter. Will (Justin Timberlake) unexpectedly comes into a large sum of time and goes on the run with Sylvia (Amanda Seyfried) to help the poor.
Except for Seyfried, most of the cast members already look older than 25, so it would’ve been beneficial for the script to up the age. However, Timberlake and Seyfried make a good-looking pair who take notes from Bonnie & Clyde.
There’s a lot that feels like other future-set films, but the intensity of running out of time – and the leads’ physical running – makes you feel more on edge.
Final say: Worth the 109 minutes. ★★★★☆
